We've compiled for you the Luzon and Visayas average electricity prices and demand per day, along with the power plant activities that occurred within each day. We also include environmental factors that may affect our electricity prices and demand. Weekly Rundown: Higher average electricity demand is experienced in the Luzon-Visayas grid and average prices have also increased. The average electricity price in the market has gone as high as PHP 9.89 per kWh. On the other hand, average combined electricity demand has also climbed up and went to as high as 12,312 MW. Here's the day-to-day breakdown: Aug 6: Sunday - Sta. Rita Module 30 shutdown then later came back online. Aug 7: Monday - Ilijan Unit 1 and 2 came online. Aug 8: Tuesday - GNPD Unit 1 derated its output capacity due to mill trouble. Aug 9: Wednesday - Hermosa-Duhat 230 kV line tripped and SMC Unit 3 came online while Unit 2 shutdown. Aug 10: Thursday - Sta. Rita Module 30 changed its fuel source from natural gas to oil. San Lorenzo Module 60 and Ilijan Unit 1 tripped. Aug 11: Friday - San Lorenzo Module 30 came back online. Masinloc Unit 2 tripped. Sta. Rita 30 changed its fuel source back to natural gas. Aug 12: Saturday - San Gabriel facility shutdown and MPGC Unit 1 is online for its commtest.
