We also include environmental factors that may affect our electricity prices and demand. Weekly Rundown: Southwest monsoon and Typhoon "Goring" bring scattered heavy rainfall to the country. Average electricity demand in the Luzon-Visayas grid went to as high as 11,834 MW while average electricity prices went down to as low as Php 3.49 per kwH. Here's the day-to-day breakdown: Aug 20: Sunday - Southwest monsoon continues to affect the country. Aug 21: Monday - San Lorenzo Module 60 and Sta. Rita Module 10 does a changeover of fuel source from oil to gas. Aug 22: Tuesday - Masinloc Unit 2 and QPPL tripped however, QPPL came back online. Aug 23: Wednesday - Southwest monsoon continues to affect the country. Masinloc Unit 2 came back online. SLPGC Unit 1 and QPPL are online as well. Aug 24: Thursday - Southwest monsoon continues to affect the country. QPPL tripped. Aug 25: Friday - Mariveles-GNPD 500kV line 2 was restored while Sta. Rita Module 30 and 40 shutdown. Aug 26: Saturday - Typhoon "Goring" affects the country and brings heavy rainfall.
