Weekly Rundown: Southwest monsoon continues to bring heavy rainfall to the country as the average electricity demand in the Luzon-Visayas grid went to as low as 10,175 MW while average electricity prices go down to as low as Php 3.46 per kwH. The rains brought by the monsoon rains resulted in lower daily temperatures which led to less strain and usage of cooling appliances such as air-conditioning. Here's the day-to-day breakdown: Sept 3: Sunday - Southwest monsoon affected the country and brought heavy rainfall. SLTEC Unit 2 is online. Sept 4: Monday - Southwest monsoon affected the country and brought heavy rainfall. Sept 5: Tuesday - Tropical Depression “Ineng” was estimated East of Extreme Northern Luzon and brought scattered rainfall to the country. Dasmariñas - Ternate 115kV line Tripped. Sept 6: Wednesday - Southwest monsoon continues to affect the country. San Jose-Angat 115kV line tripped then later came back online. Sept 7: Thursday - Southwest monsoon continues to affect the country. SLPGC Unit 1 tripped and then came back online. Sept 8: Friday - Southwest monsoon continues to affect the country. Kalayaan Unit 2 tripped then later came back online. Sept 9: Saturday - Southwest monsoon continues to affect the country.
