We've compiled for you the Luzon and Visayas average electricity prices and demand per day, along with the power plant activities that occurred within each day. We also include environmental factors that may affect our electricity prices and demand. Weekly Rundown: Southwest monsoon and Tropical Storm “Jenny” bring scattered heavy rainfall to the country. The average electricity demand in the Luzon-Visayas grid went to as high as 11,706 MW while average electricity prices down to as low as Php 5.40 per kwH. Here's the day-to-day breakdown: Sept 24: Sunday - Sta. Rita Module 20 and San Gabriel are online. Sept 25: Monday - Southwest Monsoon affecting Southern Luzon and Visayas. QPPL was online. Sept 26: Tuesday - Southwest monsoon continues to bring scattered rainfall to Southern Luzon and Visayas. Tayabas-San Jose 500kV line tripped. Sept 27: Wednesday - SLPGC Unit 1 shut down while GNPD Unit 2 tripped then came back online. Sept 28: Thursday - A Low-Pressure Area was estimated in extreme Northern Luzon. SLPGC Unit 1 was online while Sual Unit 2 shutdown Sept 29: Friday - Southwest monsoon continues to bring scattered rainfall to Southern Luzon and Visayas. SLTEC Unit 1 and San Lorenzo Module 60 shutdown. Sept 30: Saturday - Tropical Storm “Jenny” was estimated East of Extreme Northern Luzon and brought heavy rainfall to the country. Calaca Unit 2 tripped while Sual Unit 2 went online.
