Weekly Rundown: The northeast monsoon continued to bring scattered heavy rainfall affecting the Northern and Central regions of Luzon. Electricity demand and prices went up this past week with the average electricity demand in the Luzon-Visayas grid reaching as high as 11,842 MW while average electricity prices went down to as low as Php 4.64 per kwH. Here's the day-to-day breakdown: Nov 3: Friday - MPGC Unit 2 and GNPD Units 1 and 2 were online while Kalayaan Unit 3 tripped. Nov 4: Saturday - A sheer line was estimated in North Luzon, where converging warm and cold wind currents triggered rainfall. Nov 5: Sunday - Sheer line was estimated in North Luzon which brought rainfall. Makban Unit 3 tripped and SCPC Unit 3 was online. Nov 6: Monday - SLPGC 1 was online while San Lorenzo Module 50 tripped. Masinloc Unit 2 was online then later tripped. Nov 7: Tuesday - Northeast monsoon affected Northern and Central Luzon which brought scattered rainfall. SLPGC Unit 1 & 2 tripped. Nov 8: Wednesday - Northeast monsoon affected Northern and Central Luzon which brought scattered rainfall. Sual Unit 2 tripped then came back online while SLPGC Units 1 & 2 came online. Nov 9: Thursday - Northeast monsoon affected Northern Luzon which brought scattered rainfall.
