We've compiled the Luzon and Visayas average electricity prices and demand per day, along with the power plant activities that occurred each day. We also include environmental factors that may affect our electricity prices and demand. Weekly Rundown: The average electricity demand and price went down compared to the previous week. The average electricity demand in the Luzon-Visayas grid reached as high as 10,785 MW while average electricity prices went down to as low as Php 3.30 per kwH. The monsoon and shear line brought light to moderate scattered rainfall to the region throughout the week. Here's the day-to-day breakdown: Jan 12: Friday - Northeast monsoon brought scattered rainfall to the Northern and Central regions of Luzon. The shear line brought scattered rainfall to the Southern region of Luzon. Sta. Rita Module 40 shut down from a planned outage. Jan 13: Saturday - Masinloc Unit 1 shut down from an unplanned outage then came back online. Additionally, Masinloc Unit 1 tripped from an unplanned outage with a 50MW load and then came back online. Jan 14: Sunday - SCPC Unit 2 shut down due to a planned outage. Sta. Rita Module 40 was online from a planned outage. Jan 15: Monday - Northeast monsoon brought scattered rainfall to the whole Luzon region. Jan 16: Tuesday - Sta. Rita Module 30 went online after an unplanned outage last January 10. Jan 17: Wednesday - Northeast monsoon brought scattered rainfall to the whole Luzon region. Jan 18: Thursday - San Gabriel shut down from an unplanned outage then came back online. San Lorenzo Module 60 shut down due to an unplanned outage.
