We've compiled the Luzon and Visayas average electricity prices and demand per day, along with the power plant activities that occurred each day. We also include environmental factors that may affect our electricity prices and demand. Weekly Rundown: The average electricity demand and price lowered this past week. The average electricity demand in the Luzon-Visayas grid went down to as low as 8,947 MW while average electricity prices went down to as low as Php 1.76 per kwH. The northeast monsoon continued to affect the region, resulting in relatively cooler temperatures in the country. Lower daily temperatures led to less strain and usage of cooling appliances such as air-conditioning. Here's the day-to-day breakdown: Jan 26: Friday - Northeast monsoon affecting Luzon region. Kalayaan Unit 4 was online from an unplanned outage. Then tripped twice on the same day. Jan 27: Saturday - Northeast monsoon affecting the entire country. Pagbilao Unit 3 online from a planned outage Jan 28: Sunday - Northeast monsoon affecting entire country Jan 29: Monday - Northeast monsoon affecting the entire country. SLTEC Unit 2 online from Planned Outage Jan 30: Tuesday - Northeast Monsoon affecting Luzon & Visayas. SCPC Unit 2 online from Planned Outage. Jan 31: Wednesday - Northeast Monsoon affecting Luzon & and Visayas. Trough of a Low Pressure Area (LPA) affecting Mindanao. San Lorenzo Module 60 was online from a planned outage then, tripped and went online on the same day. Ilijan ST1 tripped then online from an unplanned outage. Feb 1: Thursday - Northeast Monsoon affecting Luzon. Trough of the LPA affecting Mindanao, bringing heavy rainfall.
