The average electricity demand in the Luzon-Visayas grid went up to as high as 11,075 MW while average electricity prices went down to as high as Php 4.24 per kwH. The northeast monsoon continued to affect the region and later in the past week, the Easterly winds brought clear and humid weather to the country’s eastern region. Here's the day-to-day breakdown: Feb 2: Friday - Northeast monsoon affecting Luzon region. San Lorenzo Module 50 shut down from a planned outage. Feb 3: Saturday - Northeast monsoon affecting the entire country. GMEC Unit 2 is online from an unplanned outage. Market Intervention was issued at 0925H interval due to Power Flow Divergent and was lifted at 0930H interval. Feb 4: Sunday - Northeast monsoon affecting the entire country. Sta. Rita Module 40 shut down and then came back online from a planned outage. Kalayaan Unit 3 tripped with a 134 MW load from an unplanned outage. Feb 5 Monday - Northeast monsoon affecting the entire country. Bacman Unit 3 is online from an unplanned outage while SCPC Unit 1 tripped with a 99MW load from an unplanned outage. Feb 6 - 8: Tuesday to Thursday - Easterly winds brought clear and humid weather to the eastern region of the country.
