We've compiled the Luzon and Visayas average electricity prices and demand per day, along with the power plant activities that occurred each day. We also include environmental factors that may affect our electricity prices and demand. Weekly Rundown: The average electricity demand and price increased towards the end of the past week. The average electricity demand in the Luzon-Visayas grid went up to as high as 11,227 MW while average electricity prices went down to as high as Php 5.15 per kwH. The northeast monsoon continued to affect the Luzon Region. Here's the day-to-day breakdown: Feb 9: Friday - Northeast monsoon affecting Extreme Northern Luzon. Sta. Rita Module 10 shut down (On-going LNG Commissioning). MPGC Unit 3 successfully conducted a 100% Load Rejection Test (150MW). MPGC Unit 3 online after the LRT. (On-going Commissioning Test) Feb 10: Saturday - Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern Luzon. Easterlies affected the rest of the country. Sta. Rita Module 10 online from Planned Outage. Sta. Rita Module 20 shut down. (On-going LNG Commissioning) Feb 11: Sunday - Northeast Monsoon affecting Luzon. Sta. Rita Module 20 online from a Planned Outage. Sta. Rita Module 20 and 40 shut down due to ongoing LNG Commissioning. San Roque Unit 1 tripped with a load of 95MW. Feb 12: Monday - Northeast Monsoon affecting Luzon. SCPC Unit 1 online from tripping (Unplanned Outage). Sta. Rita Module 20 was online (On Commissioning). Sta. Rita Module 40 online (On Commissioning). Kalayaan 4 shut down from an Unplanned Outage. Sta. Rita Module 30 shut down (On-going LNG Commissioning). Ilijan ST2 was online from a Planned Outage. Feb 13: Tuesday - Northeast Monsoon affecting the rest of Luzon. QPPL shut down from a Planned Outage. Sta. Rita Module 30 was online (On-commissioning). San Lorenzo 50 online from a Planned Outage last Feb 2. San Lorenzo 50 shutdown then online. Sta. Rita Module 30 tripped from an Unplanned Outage. San Gabriel shut down from a Planned Outage. Feb 14: Wednesday - Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern and Central Luzon. San Gabriel synchronized (Undergoing LNG Commissioning). San Gabriel tripped from an Unplanned Outage (LNG Commissioning). San Gabriel synchronized from an Unplanned Outage (LNG Commissioning). Sta. Rita Module 30 online from an Unplanned Outage (LNG Commissioning). San Lorenzo 50 shut down from an Unplanned Outage (LNG Commissioning) Feb 15: Thursday - Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern Luzon region. MPGC Unit 3 successfully conducted 25% (38MW) LRT (On-going commissioning Test). San Lorenzo Module 50 was online from an Unplanned Outage (LNG Commissioning). San Lorenzo Module 50 tripped from an Unplanned Outage (LNG Commissioning). GMEC Unit 1 and San Lorenzo Module 50 synchronized from an Unplanned Outage.
