We also include environmental factors that may affect our electricity prices and demand. 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐥𝐲 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧: The average market prices and demand experienced a slight drop this past week. The easterly winds continue to affect the country, bringing humid weather while the northeast monsoon mostly affects the northern region of Luzon. The average electricity demand in the Luzon-Visayas grid went up to as high as 11,482 MW while average electricity prices went up as high as Php 11.09 per kwH. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲-𝐭𝐨-𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧: Feb 23: Friday - Easterlies affecting the country. Ilijan ST1 and Ilijan GT1-1 shut down from a planned outage. Feb 24 - 25: Saturday to Sunday - Northeast Monsoon affected Northern Luzon while Easterlies affected the rest of the country. Feb 26: Monday - Northeast Monsoon affected Northern Luzon while Easterlies affected the rest of the country. Pagbilao Unit 1 was online from its unplanned outage last Feb 22. Kalayaan Unit 4 with 161MW load tripped as pump from a forced/unplanned outage. Feb 27 - 28: Tuesday to Wednesday - Northeast Monsoon affected the country. Feb 29: Thursday - Northeast Monsoon affected the Luzon region. Pagbilao Unit 1 experienced an emergency shutdown (forced/unplanned outage) at 0104 due to a boiler tube leak.
