We've compiled the Luzon and Visayas average electricity prices and demand per day, along with the power plant activities that occurred each day. We also include environmental factors that may affect our electricity prices and demand. 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐥𝐲 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧: The average market demand remained stable this past week while average market prices dropped. Moreover, the easterly winds continue to affect the country, bringing humid weather while the northeast monsoon affects the Luzon region. The average electricity demand in the Luzon-Visayas grid went up to as high as 11,740 MW while average electricity prices went up as low as Php 3.61 per kwH. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲-𝐭𝐨-𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧: March 8: Friday Weather: Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern Luzon while Easterlies affecting the rest of the country. March 9: Saturday Weather: Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern and Central Luzon while Easterlies affecting the rest of the country. SBPL Generating Unit tripped with 180MW load from an Unplanned Outage. MPGC Unit 3 was online from an On going commissioning. Meanwhile, Ilijan GT1-1 came online from an Unplanned Outage. March 10: Sunday Weather: Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern and Central Luzon while Easterlies affecting the rest of the country. SBPL is online from Unplanned outage while Ilijan GT2-2 shutdown. No initial information from the plant regarding their unit shutdown for an Unplanned Outage. Meanwhile, GNPD unit 2 shutdown to perform necessary repairs for its turbine bearing no.5 high vibration issue from an Unplanned Outage. GNPD unit 2 online at 0714H then tripped with 133MW load at 0756H from its Unplanned Outage. Additionally, GNPD 2 online, tripped again with 149MW load, then went online once more. MPGC unit 2 shutdown for an On Commissioning Test from a Planned Outage. March 11: Monday Weather: Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern and Central Luzon while Easterlies affecting the rest of the country. MPGC Unit 3 tripped with 150MW load while the unit is under commissioning test from an Unplanned Outage. March 12: Tuesday Weather: Northeast Monsoon affecting Extreme Northern Luzon while Easterlies affecting the rest of the country. March 13: Wednesday Weather: Shearline affecting the eastern section of Central and Southern Luzon while Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern Luzon. QPPL went online from a Planned Outage. Ilijan GT2-2 and MPGC 3 are online from an Unplanned Outage. Meanwhile, Ilijan B GT2-2, ST2, GT2-1 shutdown from their Unplanned Outage. March 14: Thursday Weather: Shearline affecting the eastern section of Central and Southern Luzon while Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern Luzon.
