We also include environmental factors that may affect our electricity prices and demand. 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐥𝐲 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧: The average market prices and demand increased this past week resulting in higher prices. Moreover, the easterly weather system brought warmer temperatures affecting the country. The average electricity demand in the Luzon-Visayas grid went up to as high as 12,010 MW while average electricity prices went up as high as Php 7.68 per kwH. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲-𝐭𝐨-𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧: March 22: Friday - Northeast Monsoon affecting Extreme Northern Luzon while Easterlies affecting the rest of the country. GMEC 1 (Mariveles1) shutdown from an Unplanned Outage. March 23: Saturday - Easterlies affecting the country. Ilijan GT1-1, Ilijan GT2-1, ST2, Ilijan ST1, GT1-2 shutdown from an Unplanned Outage. Meanwhile, celebration of Earth Hour commenced at 8:30PM. March 24: Sunday - Easterlies affecting the country. SCPC 2 with 150MW load tripped from an Unplanned Outage. March 25: Monday - Easterlies affecting the country. SLPGC 1 tripped from a Forced Outage. The highest Luzon Grid Peak Load for the year 2024 is 11,615MW occurred at 1433H today. The previous highest peak was 11, 595MW which occurred last March 6, 2024, at 1451H. March 26: Tuesday - Easterlies affecting the eastern section of the country. Ilijan B GT2-1, SCPC 2, and Ilijan B ST-2 went online from an Unplanned Outage while Masincloc 3 went shutdown from a Planned Outage. In addition, Ilijan B GT2-2, Ilijan GT1-2, and Ilijan ST1 went online from an Unplanned Outage while MPGC 2 went online from a Planned Outage. Sual 2 shutdown from an Unplanned Outage. Moreover, Maintenance Outage (MO) initiated Market Intervention for LVM (1930-1940H due to RTD failure to publish results). Market Resumption 1945H. March 27: Wednesday - Easterlies affecting the eastern section of the country. Masinloc 1 with 274MW load tripped from an Unplanned Outage while GMEC Unit 1 went online from an Unplanned Outage. Maintenance Outage (MO) Initiated Market Intervention. March 28: Thursday - Easterlies affecting the eastern section of the country.
