We've compiled the Luzon average electricity prices and demand per day, along with the power plant activities that occurred each day. We also include environmental factors that may affect our electricity prices and demand. 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐥𝐲 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧: The average market prices and demand increased this past week. Moreover, the easterly weather system brought warmer temperatures affecting the country. The average electricity demand in the grid went up to as high as 14,618 MW while average electricity prices went up as high as Php 8.59 per kwH. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲-𝐭𝐨-𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧: April 5: Friday - Trough of Low-Pressure Area (LPA) affecting Mindanao while Ridge of High-Pressure Area (HPA) extending over the eastern section of Northern Luzon. Ilijan B ST2, Ilijan GT2-1, Ilijan GT1-1, Ilijan ST1, and Pagbilao Unit 1 went online from an Unplanned Outage. Meanwhile, MPGC 2 with a 150MW load tripped from an Unplanned Outage. Pagbilao Unit 1 tripped from an Unplanned Outage while San Gabriel went online from an LNG Commissioning. Furthermore, ALD occurred at MERALCO feeders at 1146H due to the tripping of Pagbilao Unit 1 and was restored. April 6: Saturday - Easterlies affecting the country. San Gabriel shut down from an Unplanned Outage. April 7: Sunday - Easterlies affecting the country. San Gabriel went online and then tripped from an Unplanned Outage while ALD occurred at MERALCO feeders due to the tripping of San Gabriel at 409MW and was restored. April 8: Monday - Easterlies affecting the country. San Gabriel, Ilijan GT2-2, Ilijan ST2, and Ilijan GT2-1 went online from an Unplanned Outage. ALD occurred at MERALCO feeders due to the tripping of Ilijan A (158MW) and B (464MW) and was restored while Ilijan B with 377MW load tripped, no ALD, from an Unplanned Outage. April 9: Tuesday - Easterlies affecting the country. San Gabriel shut down and then went online from an Unplanned Outage while Ilijan GT2-1 went online from an Unplanned Outage. April 10: Wednesday - Easterlies affecting the country. Iljan ST2, Ilijan GT2-2, Ilijan GT1-2, Ilijan A ST1 went online from an Unplanned Outage. April 11: Thursday - Easterlies affecting the country.
