𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐥𝐲 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧: The average market demand remained high while average market prices slightly increased this past week. Moreover, the easterly weather system brought warmer temperatures affecting the country, and later in the week, the shear line brought scattered rainfall in Northern Luzon. The average electricity demand in the Luzon grid went up to as high as 11,663 MW while average electricity prices went to as low as Php 5.37 per kWh. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲-𝐭𝐨-𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧: May 10: Friday - Frontal System affecting Extreme Northern Luzon while Easterlies affecting the rest of the country. Masinloc Unit 3 tripped with a 271MW load from a Forced Outage. May 11: Saturday - Shear Line affecting the eastern sections of Northern and Central Luzon while Easterlies affecting the rest of the country. QPPL shut down from a Planned Outage while Masinloc 3 went online from a Forced Outage. May 12: Sunday - Easterlies affecting the country. SLPGC 1 with a load of 150MW tripped from a Forced Outage. May 13: Monday - Easterlies affecting the country. SLPGC 1 went online from a Forced Outage. MPGC 3 tripped with a load of 150MW from an Unplanned Outage. NGCP issued a Yellow Alert status on Luzon Grid. Additionally, Masinloc 1 went online from Forced Outage, then tripped with a load of 25MW and went online on the same day after a Forced Outage. Furthermore, MO initiated Market Intervention for Luzon, Visayas, & Mindanao Grid due to RTD generation failure while MPGC 3 went online at 1947H. May 14: Tuesday - Easterlies affecting the country. NGCP issued a Yellow Alert for Luzon Grid. May 15: Wednesday - The shear line affected the eastern section of Northern Luzon while Easterlies affected the rest of the country. QPPL went online from a Forced Outage. May 16: Thursday - The shear line affected Extreme Northern Luzon while Easterlies affected the rest of the country. Sta. Rita 40 changeover from gas to oil while Sta. Rita 20 completed the fuel changeover from gas to oil. Additionally, QPPL shut down from a Forced Outage.
