We've compiled the Luzon average electricity prices and demand per day, along with the power plant activities that occurred each day. We also include environmental factors that may affect our electricity prices and demand. 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐥𝐲 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧: The average market demand had decreased while average market prices increased this past week following the entry of Tropical Depression AGHON into the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). Scattered rainfall and thunderstorms affected the region. NGCP raised Yellow and Red Alerts in the Luzon Grid and the ERC declared market suspension for the Luzon Grid. The average electricity demand in the Luzon grid went down to as low as 8,682 MW while average electricity prices went to as high as Php 10.82 per kWh. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲-𝐭𝐨-𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧: May 24: Friday - Tropical Depression AGHON entered the PAR and brought scattered rainfall and thunderstorms to the country. NGCP issued a Yellow Alert for the Luzon Grid. Calaca Unit 2 tripped and then came back online from its Unplanned Outage. May 25: Saturday - Ilijan Block A & B shut down from an Unplanned Outage. May 26: Sunday - NGCP issued a Yellow Alert for the Luzon Grid. Kalayaan Unit 3 tripped from an Unplanned Outage. Pagbilao Units 1 & 3 were online and then tripped due to an Unplanned Outage. SBPL, Masinloc Unit 3, and Pagbilao Unit 2 tripped from an Unplanned Outage. Automatic Load Dropping (ALD) occurred but was later lifted. May 27: Monday - NGCP issued a Red and Yellow Alert for the Luzon Grid. Kalayaan 4 tripped from an Unplanned Outage. Masinloc Unit 3 was online from an Unplanned Outage. ERC has declared market suspension for the Luzon grid. SBPL and MPGC Unit 1 were online from an Unplanned Outage. San Lorenzo shut down from an Unplanned Outage. Ilijan GT 1-2 was online then tripped from an Unplanned Outage. May 28: Tuesday - NGCP issued a Red and Yellow Alert for the Luzon Grid. Ilijan Block A & B were online from an Unplanned Outage. May 29: Wednesday - NGCP issued a Red and Yellow Alert for the Luzon Grid. Pagbilao Unit 3 was online from an Unplanned Outage. Masinloc Unit 3 tripped from an Unplanned Outage. May 30: Thursday - NGCP issued a Yellow Alert on the Luzon Grid. Masinloc Unit 3 was online from an Unplanned outage.
