𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐥𝐲 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧: The average market demand and price have decreased this past week following the effects of the Southwest Monsoon in the country. The Southwest Monsoon brought frequent rainfall and lower temperatures to the region. Average market demand and prices went back up towards the end of the week following the effect of the Easterly winds that brought clear and humid weather. Automatic Load Dropping (ALD) occurred at MERALCO and NGCP due to Ilijan Block A & B tripping. Market Intervention (MI) was initiated by the Market Operator due to the failure to generate Real-Time Dispatch. The average electricity demand in the Luzon grid went down to as low as 9,866 MW while average electricity prices went to as low as Php 4.33 per kWh. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲-𝐭𝐨-𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧: June 7: Friday - Southwest Monsoon affecting the country. Kalayaan Unit 4 tripped due to an unplanned outage and Masinloc Unit 1 shut down due to a boiler tube leak (unplanned outage). June 8: Saturday - Southwest Monsoon affecting the country. EERI Unit 1 went online under continuous testing and commissioning that started on June 4. San Gabriel came online. June 9: Sunday - Southwest Monsoon affecting the country. San Gabriel shut down due to an unplanned outage. June 10: Monday - Southwest Monsoon affecting the country. ALD occurred at MERALCO and NGCP due to Ilijan Block A & B tripping. San Gabriel came online after a forced outage. June 11: Tuesday - Southwest Monsoon affecting the country. Calaca 2 tripped and went back online. San Lorenzo came online from a forced outage. MI was initiated by the Market Operator due to the failure to generate Real-Time Dispatch. June 12: Wednesday - Easterly winds affecting the region. San Gabriel shut down then came back online from a forced outage. June 13: Thursday - Easterly winds affecting the region. SLTEC Unit 1 tripped and then came back online from a forced outage. Masinloc Unit 1 came online from a forced outage.
