𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐥𝐲 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧: The average market demand increased slightly while the average market price went down this past week. The lower derated capacity of power plants from the previous week led to lower prices in the market. MO-initiated Market Intervention was issued for Luzon, Visayas, & Mindanao Grid starting interval 0815H last Aug 17, Saturday due to failure to generate a Real-Time Dispatch (RTD) schedule. The average electricity demand in the Luzon grid went up to as high as 11,004 MW while average electricity prices went to as low as Php 5.27 per kWh. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲-𝐭𝐨-𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧: Aug 16: Friday - Weather Update: Southwest Monsoon affecting Extreme Northern Luzon. Aug 17: Saturday - At 3:00 AM today, the Low-Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 375 km NorthNortheast of Itbayat, Batanes (24.0 N, 122.9 E). The unit recovered and is now stabilizing. Aug 21: Wednesday - Easterlies affecting the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao.
