We also include environmental factors that may affect our electricity prices and demand. 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐥𝐲 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧: The average market demand and price went down slightly this past week. The low average temperatures and rainfall brought by the Southwest Monsoon and Tropical Depression “Gener” resulted in lower electricity demand and prices in the market. The average electricity demand in the Luzon grid went down to as low as 9,264 MW while average electricity prices went to as low as Php 2.91 per kWh. The Grid was on "BLUE ALERT" due to Tropical Depression "GENER” last September 16, which was forecast to move generally west to west southwest until Wednesday afternoon, September 18 before turning west northwestward to northwestward for the remainder of the forecast period. It was expected to make landfall on either Isabela or Aurora within the next 24 hours. San Gabriel online (Reserve Shutdown). ALD occurred at Meralco and NGCP at 2112h were due to tripping of llijan A and B with 662MW.
