The DOE is also targeting holding a fourth round of GEA this year, which involves renewable energy technologies and energy storage systems. The DOE noted that according to the latest Global Energy Monitor Report, as of January 2024, China's coal power plant capacity is at 1,136.7 GW, and Indonesia's is at 51.6 GW. The Philippines, meanwhile, only has 12.1 GW.
