The recent signing of 17 landmark agreements between the Philippines and South Korea signals a new era of industrial synergy. As a proud member of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), Mabuhay Energy Corporation (MECO) joins the nation's premier business community in warmly welcoming Korean enterprises to Philippine shores.
The momentum for this partnership was solidified during the Philippines-Korea Business Forum held on March 4, 2026, at the Conrad Hotel, Manila. Organized by the PCCI and the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI), in collaboration with the DTI and South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources, the event brought together approximately 200 industry leaders to witness a historic reaffirmation of ties by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and President Lee Jae Myung.
By leveraging the Philippines-Korea Bilateral Free Trade Agreement, the delegation explored how South Korea's expertise in industrial advancement can synergize with the Philippines' vibrant workforce, paving the way for MECO and other PCCI members to drive large-scale industrial upgrading and infrastructure development.
MECO is uniquely positioned to help Korean partners navigate the evolving power sector while addressing the growing industrial synergy created by the influx of leading Korean global conglomerates such as HD Hyundai and Lotte Corporation.
