Paglipat sa Retail Electricity Supplier (RES): Mga Dokumento at May Penalty ba sa Pag-cancel?

The documents you need to switch to a Retail Electricity Supplier (RES) under RCOA, what is inside a Retail Supply Contract, how long the switch takes, and your 5-business-day cooling-off rights.

Table of Contents

  • Metering requirements (Metering Installation Registration Form)
  • Prudential at security requirements
  • Walang outstanding balance sa DU/NSP (o may napagkasunduang payment arrangement)

May penalty ba kapag na-cancel ang kontrata?

May 5-business-day cooling-off (limang business days mula sa pagpirma ng Retail Supply Contract) pagkatapos pumirma.

Frequently Asked Questions

What documents do I need to switch electricity suppliers in the Philippines?
The regulated switch is filed through the Switch Request Form (SRF) by your chosen Retail Electricity Supplier. You execute a Nomination and Assignment of Primary Retail Supplier, provide notarized attestations and proof of authority of signatories, complete metering and prudential requirements, and settle any outstanding balance with your distribution utility.
Will my power be cut during the switch?
No. You stay connected to the same distribution utility wires; only your supply contract changes.
How long does switching to a RES take?
About 90 days end to end. You give your distribution utility notice at least 90 calendar days before the switch date, and your RES files the Switch Request Form at least 7 working days before that date.
Is there a cooling-off period after signing a Retail Supply Contract?
Yes. Contestable customers have 5 business days from signing the Retail Supply Contract, or a longer period agreed in writing, within which they may cancel.
