We also include environmental factors that may affect our electricity prices and demand. ๐๐๐๐ค๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐๐จ๐ฐ๐ง: The average market demand remains stable while the average market price increased this past week following the effects of the Easterly winds in the country, which brought warm and humid weather. The Market Operator initiated Market Intervention due to failure to generate Real-Time Dispatch. The average electricity demand in the Luzon grid went down to as high as 10,866 MW while average electricity prices went to as high as Php 10.12 per kWh. ๐๐๐ซ๐'๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ฒ-๐ญ๐จ-๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ค๐๐จ๐ฐ๐ง: June 28: Friday - Easterlies affecting the eastern section of the country. MPGC Unit 4 online then tripped with a load of 38MW (on commissioning). Later on, MPGC Unit 4 came back online and San Gabriel came online from a Reserve Shutdown. MPGC Unit 4 from 38MW(25%) conducted a load rejection test (LRT) for its ongoing test and commissioning. Later on, MPGC Unit 4 came back online. June 29: Saturday - Easterlies affecting the eastern section of the country. Market Operator initiated Market Intervention for Luzon, Visayas, & Mindanao Grids starting interval 0430H due to failure to generate Real-Time Dispatch (RTD). The Market Intervention was later lifted at 0454H. Market operations resumed starting at the interval 0500H. San Gabriel went offline (Reserve) while MPGC Unit 4 tripped and then came back online (On-going testing and commissioning). GMEC Unit 2 shut down from an Unplanned Outage. San Gabriel online from Reserve Shutdown. June 30: Sunday - Easterlies affecting the eastern section of the country. San Gabriel shutdown from a Reserve Shutdown. MPGC 4 load reject with 77MW then came back online (on commissioning). July 1: Monday - Easterlies affecting the eastern sections of Luzon and Visayas. MPGC Unit 1 shut down from a Planned Outage. Pagbilao 1 shut down from a Planned Outage. QPPL came online from Maintenance Outage. Kalayaan Unit 3 with 180MW tripped from an Unplanned Outage. San Gabriel online from Reserve shutdown. MPGC Unit 4 from 113MW (75%) conducted a load rejection test (LRT) then came online (On-going test and commissioning.) July 2: Tuesday - Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Palawan and Southern Mindanao. Easterlies affecting the eastern sections of Luzon and Visayas. Ilijan Block A with 339MW load tripped (Unplanned Outage) Balsik - San Marcelino 230kV Line 2 and Line 1 restored at 1736H/1737H respectively (Unplanned Outage). Ilijan A GT1-1 online from an Unplanned Outage. Ilijan A ST1 came online from an Unplanned Outage. San Lorenzo 60 shut down from a Planned Outage. July 3: Thursday - Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Palawan and Western Mindanao. Easterlies affected the eastern sections of the country. Ilijan GT1-2 online from an Unplanned Outage. SCPC Unit 1 shut down from an Unplanned Outage. MPGC Unit 4 successfully completed the 100%(150MW) Load Rejection Test(LRT) and then came online (On-going test and commissioning.) July 4: Friday - Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Palawan. Easterlies affected the eastern sections of the country. Ilijan Block A and Ilijan GT2-1 tripped from an Unplanned Outage. Ilijan GT2-1 online (Unplanned Outage). Ilijan A GT 1-2 online, tripped with 12MW, then came back online (Unplanned Outage). Ilijan A GT 1-1 online (Unplanned Outage). Ilijan A ST-1 online (Unplanned Outage).
